[edit] History

The school was founded in 1963 when Cecilia Del Castillo-Lopez started teaching about 23 boys and girls in the living room of her home in PHHC, Bacolod City. This was the first kindergarten class and the birth of Jack & Jill School.

Five years later, Jack & Jill School was given government recognition. In the next few years, the influence of JJS teaching style was felt not only in Bacolod City but also around the neighboring cities namely Victorias City and La Carlota City. However, the branch in La Carlota was closed in 2001.

Four campuses are now operated in Negros Occidental province. The Preschool and Elementary departments are known as the Jack & Jill School and the Secondary department as Castleson High. Two new departments which handle children with special needs have been established. This is the SIDERA Special Child Center at City Heights and the Gem Classes for fast learners in Homesite which is the mother school of all branches.[1][2][3].
